The dates for both the PSC Parhelion Spring and Autumn Series have been announced:

Parhelion Spring Series 2008:
Saturday 29th March: Races 1 & 2
Saturday 5th April: Race 3 (Long Race)
Saturday 12th April: Races 4 & 5
Saturday 19th April: Races 6 & 7
Saturday 26th April: Races 8 & 9

Parhelion Autumn Series 2008:
Saturday 20th September: Races 1 & 2
Saturday 27th September: Races 3 & 4
Saturday 4th October: Race 5 (Long Race 1)
Saturday 11th October: Races 6 & 7
Saturday 18th October: Race 8 (Long Race 2)
Saturday 25th October: Races 9 & 10

Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth has recently started issuing Local Notices to Mariners (LNTMs) and Navigational Warnings via email. These notices are available on the QHM's website, where you may also subscribe to the QHM's email. However if you are a club member and would like them forwarded to your own email account please email the webmaster with your name and current email address. A file containing recent Notices and Warnings can be downloaded from the Download page.

Sunday 9th December, conditions – SW wind gusting 45 knots.

This is getting monotonous with yet another race lost due to bad weather. With five races of the series now cancelled this must be a record. The last race of the series is programmed for next Sunday 16th, followed by Prize Giving at PSC. If the weather follows the present pattern and this race is cancelled Prize Giving will take place at 1200 hrs.

Race 6, 2nd December 2007, was cancelled.

Conditions were SW wind gusting 50 knots. This is the fourth race of the series which has been lost due to bad weather, we can only hope that the weather turns favourably for the final two.
