There is an error in the Solent Chart recently distributed - The symbol McMurdo Pains Wessex is not shown and the caption in incorrectly placed. Version 1.1 of this chart corrects the error. Apologies for any confusion.

Bob Evans has a new First 211 based in Eastney and is looking for crew to sail in the Parhelion Spring Series. Portsmouth City Council is meeting this month to decide on plans to sell off the Broad Street car park for development. This will mean the loss of 50 car parking spaces, and will have serious consequences for PSC. The occupiers of any residential properties erected on the site are likely to voice strong opposition to the adjacent East Street Slipway on the grounds of 'noise and nuisance'. The Commodore strongly urges all members to register their opposition by writing to the local MP, Mr. Mike Hancock at Portsmouth South Constituency Office, 1a Albert Road Southsea, PO5 2SE, this week. With an election in the offing, members should also take every opportunity to register their opposition to the plan with representatives of every political party canvassing in Portsmouth. Thank you.
