The next lecture in our Wyllie Series is at 7.30pm on Wednesday 17th March (not the 24th March as previously advertised) and is entitled Portsmouth's Canal - a Doomed Venture?  In the 1820s Portsmouth had a canal linking it with London.  Why would anyone think that a coastal town needed an inland waterway?  Dr John Stedman of Portsmouth

PSC’s Sunday Roast Lunch recommences on Sunday 7 February.  The cost is £6 per person.  A list will available at the Club bar from Friday 29 January – payment must be made before names can be added to the list, so we regret that no telephone bookings can be accepted. We want to avoid a situation where PSC members are unable to gain places due to the presence of large numbers
