PSC’s Sunday Roast Lunch recommences on Sunday 7 February.  The cost is £6 per person.  A list will available at the Club bar from Friday 29 January – payment must be made before names can be added to the list, so we regret that no telephone bookings can be accepted. We want to avoid a situation where PSC members are unable to gain places due to the presence of large numbers

The next PSC Club Quiz, hosted by Paul Scott, will be on Wednesday 13th January at 8.30pm. There will be no Club Sunday Lunch in January. This Wednesday, 21st October, we will be holding a Trafalgar Celebration evening in commemoration of Nelson’s great Victory in 1805.  The evening will kick off at 8.00pm with John’s Special Chilli & Rice in a style that Lord Nelson would have approved of if he had ever tasted it.  The food will be served on a “first come, first served” basis and free of charge!

The building work to provide a new staircase to the 2nd Floor and consequent movement of the bar has been completed (save for a few minor items) and the bar has been fully operational since Saturday 8th August.  Do come along for a drink and see the effect of the work.  Although the builders have now left, there is still a fair amount of painting and decorating to be tackled, please see below.

We are starting a Wednesday Quiz Night on this Wednesday, 24th June. Your Quizmaster will be Paul Scott, with the event run along pub quiz lines. Entry cost is £1 per person, with teams of up to four and cash prizes. Come along and test your knowledge. It is planned to hold quiz nights twice a month on Wednesdays. 

New Social Events for June and July have been added, including the Commodore's Summer Solstice Barbeque on Sunday 21st June.Our Commodore, Robin Townsend, will be staging a Summer Solstice Barbeque in the Boomyard on Sunday 21 June, starting at mid-day.  This is an excellent venue, with commanding views of Portsmouth Harbour and all that sails past.  Good quality, traditional barbeque fare

As some of our members may be aware, Sam Lloyd set up a Portsmouth Sailing Club Facebook group a couple of months ago. Along with the University of Portsmouth Sailing Club there are now 27 members, so if any of our other members are also members of Facebook please join up.
