Overview

The Portsmouth Sailing Club Spring & Autumn Parhelion Series have become established in the Solent calendar with a core of regular Racers returning each year. We are offering racing in uncongested waters over 5 or 6 weekends, normally with 2 Races per day, for IRC yachts, Club classes, One Design Fleets of 5 or more & non-rated yachts (we can provide a rating for the series).

Whether you have an experienced crew or you are just interested in having a go at yacht racing for the first time, PSC’s Parhelion Spring Series is the ideal event to start your season. The series offer racing for yachts & crews at all levels of competitiveness & skill including IRC class yachts, Club classes, One Design Fleets of 5 or more & non-rated yachts.

For the seasoned Racer, the Autumn Series provides an opportunity to complete your racing year with competitive yet friendly racing in the less congested waters of the Eastern Solent & Hayling Bay. For the novice crew, the series offers the chance to build on racing experience for the next season. For this series we are offering a variety of Races, including long distance, Passage & round the cans racing.

Following racing, the Clubhouse will be open for some hard-fought refreshment. There are temporary moorings on the western side of Portsmouth Harbour owned by PSC. Moorings are also available in the Camber Dock & Gunwharf Quays - 24 hour notice is required at Gunwharf. We also offer a RIB ferry service to & from Gosport.
