  • Day Boat Wednesday Evening Series

It had been intended to start Day Boat Evening racing on Wednesday 2 May, however it has been decided to postpone the start of the series due to the delay in the installation of the crane in the Camber. Although the crane is not essential for Day Boat sailing, it's lack of availability makes launching the increased numbers of Day Boats in the Boom Yard extremely difficult, particularly for weekday evening racing. Updated dates for

    Spring Parhelion Series Day 2

Another demanding day for both the race team and competitors with a breeze fluctuating between 6 and 18 kts and veering from the SE round to the S during the races. The first race became fairly lengthy for some of the smaller members of the fleet (Minx !) who had to contend with a dying breeze but race two was sailed in a fresher conditions and all fleets finished within less than

    Spring Parhelion Series Day 1

Day 1 of the Spring Parhelion Series saw 15 boats ready to race but with a mid-morning low water and light Easterly breezes it proved a testing day for both the Race Officer and competitors with long downwind legs and even a downwind start for Race 1! Two races were completed and results across all fleets were interesting and varied but Red Arrow (sporting their new 100th birthday 'kite') and Maggie May both appear to

  • Frostbite Series Complete

Our Autumn 2017 Frostbite Series is now complete although we lost the last day's racing due to storm force winds; this was probably fortuitous for those who were recovering from the previous evening's Christmas Party in the Club! Overall the series was well supported, particularly by PSC Squibs and dinghies from 1st Portsmouth Sea Scouts and the University of Portsmouth. Race Officer Liz Ballard and her team who manned Rosina every Sunday morning and
