Queen's Harbour Master Portsmouth is the regulatory authority for Portsmouth Harbour.

All vessels operating within the vicinity of the Harbour Entrance and the Town Camber MUST ENSURE THEY COMPLY with QHM's General Direction here - https://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/qhm/portsmouth/local-notices/general-directions/2017/1702-portsmouth-harbour-entrance

KEY POINTS

1. Call Harbour Control (c/s QHM VHF Ch 11) before crossing from Town Camber to Ballast Pile and vice versa.

2. Use the Small Boat Channel when passing through the harbour entrtance.

3. Always comply with direction given by Harbour Control, QHM's Harbour Patrol and the Volunteer Harbour Patrol.

IT IS CRITICAL THAT ALL PSC MARINERS COMPLY WITH QHM's REGULATIONS IN ALL RESPECTS. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY ENDANGER THE FREEDOM OF ALL TO OPERATE SMALL BOATS IN THE VICINITY OF THE HARBOUR ENTRANCE
