Club Racing - Official Noticeboard

PSC Summer Regatta - amendment 1 - 25 June 2024

Event Schedule:

• Saturday: Up to 3 short races, starting at 1100.
• Sunday: Up to 3 short races, starting at 1030.
• Location: Races will commence at KB Drystack racing mark.
• Latest Start: No races will start after 1430.

Race Committee:

• The committee boat will be an Orkney Longliner 16 named "Bess," operating on channel 72.

Racing Format:

• We will race as a single fleet, with an expected participation of approximately 10 boats, including 7 Tempests and various Club Class yachts.
• Courses will be announced prior to each race.

Class Flags:

• Tempest class yachts are not required to display class flags.
• All other yachts should fly pennant 2 from their backstays.

Scoring:

• 3 races will constitute 1 discard.
• 6 races will constitute 2 discards.

IRC Class Results:

• If two or more IRC boats participate, an IRC result will be extracted from the elapsed times.
• Both Byron PYN and Club Class times will be considered for results.

Additional Information:

• An Armed Forces Day BBQ will be held at Hornet SSC. Please provide the number of attendees and names. Crew members are required to carry photo identification.
• Prize giving will take place at Hornet SSC.
• There is no entry fee for racing.
