Autumn Parhelion Series Underway ... Just!

The first race of the Autumn Parhelion Series is now complete .. but ...it took place on a grey drizzly Saturday morning in a dying SW'ly breeze. Eleven boats came to the start with Race Officer Darryl Bowles deciding to combine both Divisions. As can be seen from the results https://www.portsmouthsc.co.uk/parhelion-2/results... only three of the IRC and one of the Club fleet managed to complete the course, frustratingly all other competitors failed to complete within the 2 hr time limit. Probably the only good news was that we all managed to get off the water before the heavy rain set in! We are looking forward to the long race next week; hoewpfully to be sailed in more interesting conditions!
