Portsmouth Sailing Club members have been offered the opportunity to have a boat tour on one of the Clipper 70's which will be departing to race around the world on the 31st August. Club members would get to try out an ocean racing bunk, have a go on one of our grinders and stand behind the wheel and imagine surfing down a wave at speeds of over 25 knots!
The Clipper Race organisers are offering tours on 29th August in Gunwharf Quays Marina and if we have enough interest from our members they would be happy to arrange a PSC members only session.
They can accommodate a maximum of 25 people onboard at once, the tours typically take around 30-40 mins depending on how many questions you ask! The boats are free to view and there will be opportunities over the weekend to get on board if people can't make the club time on the Friday.
