Sunshine, Great Food and Smiles All Round at Our Hog Roast BBQ
Brilliant sunshine and a perfect sea breeze set the scene for a fantastic afternoon at the club as members gathered for our Hog Roast BBQ, which proved to be one of the most enjoyable social events of the season.
From the moment the hog went on the spit (6am!), the boom yard filled with the unmistakable aroma of slow roasted pork. From midday good conversation and plenty of laughter while members, family and friends relaxed in the sunshine, enjoyed great food, and made the most of the warm weather overlooking the water.
The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and full of the kind of community spirit that makes our club special. Whether enjoying a plate piled high with roast pork, catching up with old friends, or simply soaking up the sunshine, everyone left with a smile.
A huge thank you goes to the many volunteers who made the event possible from the early morning preparations to serving, cooking, setting up and clearing away. There were far too many helpers to list individually, but your time, effort and enthusiasm were truly appreciated by all who attended.
Events like this don't just happen; they're the result of teamwork, generosity and a shared love of club life. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success.
