August Update

Published 17:38 on 21 Aug 2020
As the majority of members will know, the club house has been open for the last few weeks with COVID restrictions in place. In brief, this limits capacity in the bar to 24, members only, and we have been opening only on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes. The committee are continually reviewing the COVID restrictions and clearly we hope that we will soon be able to open more frequently and enable guests to return.
On the water, the Squib fleet have achieved some excellent racing over three weekends in July/August with consistently good numbers of boats competing despite COVID restrictions. Members have 'self-managed' numerous races proving that good, club racing can be achieved in a COVID compliant manner with a minimal organizational burden, however big thanks to Tim Johnston and his rib who provided excellent support for a brilliant days racing on Sunday 23 Aug ... see picture.
Looking ahead, we have a number of social and sailing events planned - please see the Calendar section of this website.
